Training by IOM-Nepal on Social Security Fund (SSF)

On 29 January 2026, 12 manpower recruitment agencies in Kathmandu gathered at Dusit Princess Hotel to attend the “Social Security Training for Private Recruitment Agencies”, organized and facilitated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM–Nepal). The one-day training session covered topics such as recent policy changes in labour migration governance in Nepal, non-state-based grievance mechanisms, and the role of PRAs (Private Recruitment Agencies) in accessing the SSF (Social Security Fund) system to benefit migrant workers. VNVNEPAL is immensely grateful to IOM–Nepal for this wonderful learning opportunity. The trainings and workshops conducted by IOM–Nepal have enabled us to be a competent part of ethical supply chains of some of the reputed business houses across the world. VNVNEPAL looks forward to attending more such sessions in the future, should the opportunity present itself.
